Cedar Pointe Golf Course is a beautiful and unique 18-hole golf course in Boone, Iowa. The original nine holes were designed in the early 1900’s classic style, and the back nine is a more modern design laid out almost 100 years later. The original nine holes is believed to be one of Iowa’s oldest golf courses.
As with any classic style golf course, shot shaping is at a premium on the front nine with mature trees lining each hole. With only two water hazards and seven bunkers, scoring well on the front nine will only come with an accurate tee shot and/or an exceptional short game.
Making the turn to the back nine, the player will see more of an open-style golf course. With most trees less than 15 years old, tree trouble is almost nonexistent when compared to the front nine holes. However, many more bunkers, water hazards and out-of-bounds lining many holes lie in wait. The combined 18 holes offer a unique round of golf unlike any other.
